Jumaqui Mamani
Jumaqui is a rare artist, who paints in his own style, capturing hearts and souls around the world. He was born on the shores of the highest navigable Lake Titicaca in the world at 4000 meters, in Puno (Peru). Several members of Jumaqui’s family are musicians, artists and athletes. Jumaqui spent most of his childhood studying at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Puno, where his mother worked and ran a restaurant. Jumaqui was born with an artistic spirit that included an intense passion for color, beauty and creativity. Since he was young, Jumaqui dreamed of being an artist and knew from a very young age that he was destined “to live in the world of art.” Jumaqui’s style is constantly evolving and has been shaped by his exposure to many countries. As noted above, the artist is originally from South America. However, he has spent much of his life in France and currently resides in Miami, Florida. While studying with French artist Dago and working in art galleries and the streets of France for 12 years, Jumaqui gained experience and training in artistic murals, caricatures, portraits, art restoration, painting and calligraphy. Jumaqui is very versatile and responds to many different custom requests from his clients with his company Salsa-Art, Inc. These include restoration projects, murals, portraits, abstract paintings, calligraphy, and home decor projects. Jumaqui is particularly skilled at painting murals on walls and ceilings, and has decorated numerous private homes and businesses in Miami and elsewhere. His business expanded in 2013 to include a 4,500 square foot dance studio (Best of Times Dance Studio) where Jumaqui is the lead salsa instructor and has taught for over 20 years. Here he is lucky to be able to help support other artists and dancers. The studio also functions as a banquet hall for personalized weddings, quinces, birthdays, etc.

About my art style: idea Immerse yourself in the captivating world of abstract art by Jumaqui Mamani. His works, steeped in the rich Andean cultural heritage, fuse tradition and modernity, inviting you on a visual journey filled with color, energy and meaning. This particular work represents our reason for existing as rational human beings. Our passage through this earth is pure literature. Through this work I pay homage to our alphabet. I begin with the letter “A.” Each brushstroke reveals a story, each geometric shape evokes an ancestral landscape, and each vibrant color celebrates life in connection with nature through his unique and powerful style. His art transcends borders and reminds us of the beauty and diversity of our world. Thank you so much
